How much is the Shipping cost for my order? - [top]

Shipping prices vary by weight and size of the goods ordered, as well as according to destination. To see how much shipping will cost for your order, please add the relevant parts to your shopping cart. On the shopping cart page you will see a 'shipping quote' box, simply select your country and/or add your postcode and you will be able to see the shipping options and prices that are available to you.

How Quickly will I get my order? - [top]

PartsforMercedes.com, (PFS) holds a large stockholding in our warehouse (in excess of GBP £500,000) with the aim of trying to ship your orders as soon as is possible, wherever possible we will aim to ship within one to two working days, with expected delivery being within 2-5 working days (UK) or 5-9 working days (International) from the date of order placement. We aim to get your order sent out just as fast as we possibly can, however in the event that all or part of your order is not in stock, we shall inform you by e-mail as soon as is possible. Non-stock items normally ship within a maximum of 5-10 days.

When I choose to pay by PayPal I cannot see the shipping price on the PayPal page? - [top]

When you first arrive on the PayPal website, the only price shown is for the parts you wish to purchase excluding VAT. Once you log into your PayPal account on the PayPal payment page, shipping prices will be included based on your selected address, VAT will also be added where applicable (for orders shipped within the EEC).

How is my order shipped and do you offer an express service? - [top]

Delivery is normally by Royal Mail, Air Mail , Parcel Force, 'Parcel Force Worldwide' or UPS depending on the weight of your order and/or the shipping destination. Please note that we may also use other courier services not listed here at our sole discretion. PFS also offers a next working day delivery service should it be required (UK only - please note, working day refers to weekdays - Monday to Friday, and does not cover Saturday or Sunday or bank holidays). PFS Parts can sometimes offer express services outside of the UK at additional cost to as quoted on our website. Please contact us by email or telephone with your full address details and what you wish to order if you would like us to quote you for an express service.

Do you ship to PO boxes or BFPO addresses? - [top]

Small items below a packed weight of 2 kg, can generally be sent to PO or BFPO addresses. PFS Parts is currently not able to send any parcels over 2kg in weight to BFPO addresses. We can send larger parcels to certain countries where a PO box is used, but in general we would strongly advise that you do not provide a PO box address. If you are in any doubt, please email us prior to placing your order and we can advise you.

What if my parts are out of stock? - [top]

PFS Parts Ltd. will endeavour to keep you regularly updated on any non-stock items ordered and that are on back order for more than 7 days. Whilst we will always do our utmost to achieve the best possible delivery times, PFS Parts Ltd., shall not be held liable for any delay or failure to achieve any delivery or other date, all dates being estimates only. We appreciate that the majority of parts ordered are required urgently, however if you have a very urgent need of your parts it is always worthwhile to email us to check stock prior to ordering.

Are my goods covered by insurance? - [top]

All packages are covered by transit insurance for a period of 28 days from the date of shipment from PFS Parts Ltd. In the case of any damage or instances of delivery failure you MUST inform us (PFS Parts Ltd.) within 21 days of the date of shipment. You should email us via our contact page clearly stating your order number, together with details of the problem. Failure to notify us may result in your package no longer being covered by insurance, and consequently the liability for loss or damage will have to be borne by the customer.

If I'm not in can you leave the goods elsewhere? - [top]

Deliveries will be made to the delivery address provided by you during checkout, you may select a different delivery address to your billing address if required (eg. a work address etc.). Please note that we can only ship to the one delivery address provided and can not use any alternative (eg neighbour etc.). All packages must be signed for at the delivery address provided and will not generally be left without a signature.

What if my order could not be delivered and is returned to you? - [top]

Orders that have been correctly despatched to the shipping address as supplied by the customer, and which are subsequently returned to PFS as undeliverable, whether by courier or postal service, are subject to a maximum refund of the value of the products ordered only, (not including shipping costs). Furthermore, the customer may also be liable to pay any applicable return postage costs, as well as make further payment for re-shipment should this be required.

To avoid this situation, you are strongly advised to double check that the shipping address you provide for your order is accurate. We will always notify you of despatch via email and your order history, please contact us if there seems to be an unexpected delay with your order, so as we can try and resolve any issues before goods are returned to us.

How are shipping charges calculated? - [top]

Shipping charges are calculated based on location, weight of the product including packaging, volumetric weight if applicable and necessary insurance coverage and handling charges. You can view the relevant shipping charges to your chosen destination easily by adding any product to your 'Shopping Cart', below the cart you will see a table of applicable shipping charges once you have selected your destination country..

Are your shipping charges always correct? - [top]

In certain rare cases shipping prices quoted and/or charged may later be found to be insufficient to cover the costs of shipping orders internationally. This can be caused where the volumetric weight (package size) is substantially higher than the actual package weight. If this is the case we will contact you before shipping to inform you of any additional charges, you will then have the option of either paying these extra charges or of cancelling your order.

Will I be charged VAT or any other taxes? - [top]

PartsforMercedes.com, is registered in Great Britain for VAT. Registration Number GB809914994. All orders to destinations within the UK will have VAT included in the value of the order.

Orders shipped outside of the UK are not required to pay VAT, VAT is automatically removed from all prices when you are logged in to our website, or proceeding through Checkout, and a shipping address outside the UK has been set.

Will I have to pay any import tax or duties in my own country? - [top]

Prices on this website do not include any customs duty and excise or any other local taxes for goods shipped outside of the UK, all orders are shipped "Delivery Duty Unpaid (DDU)". All such duties and taxes shall be paid by Customer. Unfortunately PFS Parts is not able to advise on tax and duty charges that may be charged locally to you outside of the UK. Please note that tariff charge criteria may vary. If in doubt please consult the relevent authorities in your own country in regard to import costs and taxes and any other charges.

Please further note that carriage costs and any related administration costs for the return of your order to PFS Parts Ltd. will not be refunded in the event of any import duty dispute and consequent order rejection.

All orders shipped within the UK will be VAT paid at time of ordering and as such will not incur any further taxes on receipt.

I am a VAT registered business in the EU, can I purchase without VAT charges? - [top]

All customers within the UK must pay VAT. After Brexit we are no longer charging VAT to any customers or businesses in the EU, our understanding is that we are no longer in a position to be able to charge any VAT to EU countries. If this situation changes or becomes clearer we will update this page and our policies to reflect this.

What guarantee or warranty do I get with my parts? - [top]

All products are supplied with a minimum 12 month warranty against manufacturing defect.This does not affect your statutory rights. Some goods may have a longer guarantee period, where this is applicable it will be clearly stated in the relevent product description on this website. The maximum amount payable under any warranty claim is no more than the amount originally paid for the order. PFS Parts is not able to cover any other costs over and above the value of the original order as part of a warranty claim.

Can I cancel my order? - [top]

If you are a UK or EU customer, you have a statutory right to cancel your order within 7 days of receipt. You may do this by taking or sending by post, fax or e-mail a WRITTEN notice of cancellation to:

Please note that the above right does not apply for any non-defective ECU or PPC upgrades that have been specifically programmed for your vehicle, or non stock items that have been ordered for you especially, these items are not returnable under any circumstances.

When returning goods, please state your full name and address and the Returns Merchant Authorisation number (RMA) you have been issued with to identify your order. Any order returned to us without this information will be refused.You have until the expiry of SEVEN WORKING DAYS (i.e. excluding Saturday, Sunday, bank holidays and public holidays), starting with the day after the products are delivered, to exercise this right. If you exercise your right to cancel, any money you have paid for your order will be refunded NOT including your expense of returning the products.

If you wish to exercise your right to cancel, you must also take good care of the products until you return them and ship the product to us. All items must be returned unused in their original packaging and in a saleable condition. All returns must be well packaged to protect items from damage in transit. Any damage that occurs in transit to PartsforSaabs.com will be deemed to be the responsibility of the customer and any costs arising from this will be for the customers account. All returns should be sent using an insured postal service. We do not accept proof of postage as proof of delivery.

Any stock order placed that has been correctly supplied by PartsforMercedes.com and is subsequently not required can be returned to us unused, subject to a restocking fee of 20%. In this instance, the cost of return carriage must be paid by the customer.

Non-stock or Special orders (i.e. those that have been ordered specifically for your vehicle and can not be resold) cannot be cancelled, such items include but are not limited to ECU & PPC upgrades.

Stock orders can be cancelled prior to despatch without penalty.

What happens if my goods are faulty or supplied incorrectly or damaged? - [top]

PFS does its best to ensure that your order is supplied correctly and with all items in good working order, if faulty or supplied incorrectly, we will be happy to send you a replacement as soon as is possible. Please note though that PFS will require payment for any replacement items sent out prior to return/receipt of the original item to PFS. Shipping charges for replacement items will be covered by PFS, furthermore you will be refunded for your postal/shipping costs incurred in returning the faulty/incorrectly supplied items to PFS. In many cases with larger items it may be possible for PFS Parts to arrange collection on your behalf.

Inspection/Return procedures - [top]

The customer shall inspect the products within 30 days of receipt, such period being confirmed by the customer to be a reasonable period to examine the products for defects or shortfalls, and notify PFS Parts Ltd. promptly of any non-conformance. Failure to notify PFS Parts Ltd. within that 30-day period will constitute acceptance of the products for all purposes.

No product may be returned for any reason without the prior approval of PFS Ltd. The customer is responsible for returning products to PFS Parts Ltd. at the customer's risk and expense. Prior to returning product(s) to PFS Parts Ltd. the Customer must obtain a Return Material Authorisation ("RMA") number from PFS Parts Ltd. by emailing us via our contact page or calling 01933 225698. PFS Parts Ltd. shall not be responsible for failure of the delivery service to make on-time delivery. Customer must ship the product(s) to PFS Parts Ltd. in the original packaging, prepaid and insured, with the RMA number clearly identified on the packaging.

Please note that once you have been issued with an RMA, goods to be returned should be despatched promptly via insured delivery service to PFS at the address provided below. All goods to be returned MUST be returned within 14 days of issue of your RMA. Any goods not returned within a 14 day period following issue of your RMA may be subject to additional charges or in certain circumstances become non-refundable.

I am outside of the UK, how do I return my items? - [top]

As above you must contact us prior to returning any items to us. Once authorised for return, all packages must be clearly and prominantly marked on the outside of the package as being 'returned to original sender' it is also important that this is clearly marked on any customs documentation together with the reason for return. Any packages not clearly marked as such may become liable for import duty and taxes, in this instance delivery to us may be refused or duties/taxes charged as such to the sender.

Any product(s) returned to PFS Parts Ltd. shall become the property of PFS Parts Ltd. If PFS Parts Ltd. determines that failure of the product(s) was not a result of a defect in materials or workmanship within the terms of the manufacturers warranty, PFS Parts Ltd. reserves the right to charge the customer for the parts. PFS Parts will advise the Customer prior to assessing these charges.
